Join members of the St. Stanislaus Athletic Club and Dyngus Day Buffalo this Friday for their inaugural Polish Happy Hour! This free event is scheduled for Friday, January 21, 2011, 5:30-8:30pm at the AC’s clubrooms located inside the Monsignor Adamski Social Center, 289 Peckham Street, Buffalo (enter on Wilson Street side of building).
Organize welcome everyone to network and reconnect as they enjoy authentic Polish products like Tyskie Polish Beer, Sobieski Polish Vodka and the traditional Polish honey liqueur Krupnik. Participants can also learn how to become members of the St. Stan’s Athletic Club and about preservation plans for sites in and around the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood.
“This is a great opportunity for anyone in the general public to discover this unique and historic club,” said Athletic Club Manager Len Hoeglmeier. “Young Polish-Americans are especially welcomed to meet others who have an interest in their heritage, language and to share Polish pride.”

Excerpt from parade on Sunday features B-F faves Saint Adalbert Basilica, Saint Stanislaus Church, Corpus Christi Church & Dyngus Day Buffalo.
The live video stream of the parade went incredibly well…a lot of viewers during the broadcast…except…there is always a except when it comes to some of the things I do in B-F…the service used to broadcast video only saved 27 minutes of the parade…what do you want for nothing. I was waiting to see if they could recover the lost video…they couldn’t.
So it goes…enjoy!

This video captures the Dyngus Day Parade experience for me…it comes courtesy BFA friends and Broadway Market mainstays Mirella and Ed Jablonski of JABCO General Store fame!!! This was taken from their float in the parade…from all reports, they also had some the best stuff coming from parade participants this year by tossing out t-shirts, frisbees and other assorted good stuff. My four year old got a frisbee
