(Mike Gilhooly – RTLC) Friday August 6th the parking lot of the Response to Love Center was transformed into a huge Health Fair for the people of the neighborhood surrounding the center. With perfect weather, almost 100 people were in attendance to take advantage of the services offered. Many got valuable information regarding health insurance programs, HIV testing, Blood pressure and sugar levels, and much more.

The kids had a lot to do also with a free bounce house and games. Refreshments included hot dogs and hamburgers, fruit juices and fruit smoothies, granola snacks and water. A special thank you to all the Partners that participated and made our first annual Health Fair a success.
(by Debbie Coyne – Catholic Charities) Precious Innocents Child Care Center formerly known as Holy Innocents Child Care Center moved to its new location 128 Wilson Street, the former St. Stanislaus grade school, in February. The center is licensed by the Office of Children and Family Services to care for children 6 weeks through age 12. We have a contract with the Department of Social Services for free or reduced child care for those who qualify.

Each of the classrooms is set up to have an environment that is nurturing, compassionate, educational, and developmentally appropriate for each age group. The curriculum is designed to include all areas of a child’s development. Our preschool program is planned to prepare children for kindergarten.

The hours of operation for the center are 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. We offer transportation.

To schedule a tour of the center call 896-6386 and ask for Debbie or Darlene.
