The four-story building at Broadway and Fillmore is heading to foreclosure.
Bayview Loan Servicing LLC has obtained approval from the New York State Supreme Court to hold a foreclosure auction for the structure at 957-959 Broadway. The court-ordered auction is set for 2 p.m., March 23 in Erie County Hall’s foreclosure alcove.
Bayview is seeking the auction as a means to recoup $508,423 owed by 959 Taka Inc. in back mortgage payments.
Located on the block west of the Broadway Market, the 51,443-square-foot building dates back to the early 1900s and underwent a renovation in 1985 after the store Neisner’s went out of business.
The building houses 35 apartments, mostly filled with low-to-moderate income tenants and street level retail.
Included in the property is a 55-car surface parking lot along Gibson Street that neighbors the building.
