Juneteenth Festival this weekend at Martin Luther King Jr. Park

The festival is held annually on the Buffalo’s East Side in Martin Luther King Jr. Park. Buffalo’s Juneteenth celebration is the largest one of its kind in the country. It’s the nation’s oldest known celebration that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.

The festival gets its kickoff on Saturday with a the 42nd Juneteenth parade on Saturday, June 17th. It begins at Genesee Street and Moselle at 11:00am. The parade will travel on Genesee Street to Best Street into Martin Luther King Park.

Buffalo’s Juneteenth Festival will continue through Sunday, June 18th.
