Taste2016

The Broadway Market is hosting its annual ‘Taste of the Market’ celebration on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It’s a great opportunity to experience all the market has to offer.

The event will feature a taste of the Broadway Market’s most loved foods, music from The Larry Salter Soul Orchestra, Polish beer, local wines, a basket raffle and more. Proceeds from the event support the Friends of the Broadway Market District organization.

The Friends of the Broadway Market District is a not-for-profit community group supporting the market and the surrounding neighborhood. Beverly McLean, co-founder of the organization, on the Broadway Market, “The Friends of Broadway Market District view Broadway Market as an under-appreciated regional asset. The market is an old-world shopping destination with its family-owned butcher, seafood, produce, bakery, and specialty stands. For the neighborhood, the Market is its most significant anchor, providing a place for healthy, affordable food shopping, employment, and community gathering.”

Tickets for the ‘Taste of the Market’ can be purchased at the Broadway Market management office or Lewandowski Produce during regular business hours and online on the market’s website. The cost is $15.00. The price includes food. A cash bar will also be available.

Established in 1888, the Broadway Market is open year round in the historic Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood in Buffalo at 999 Broadway. For more information about the event and the market, visit www.BroadwayMarket.org.
