950 Broadway part of public art project

The Eckhardt Building at Broadway and Fillmore is going to part of a public art project that will see this iconic neighborhood building draped in cloth this month. It’s a great idea and I’m glad the neighborhood was included in this project.

One of the more recognizable buildings on the city’s East Side is getting a giant splash of public art. The Eckhardt Building, located at 950 Broadway is about to be the beneficiary of an enormous, although temporary, work of art. The installation is thanks to a partnership between the Albright Knox and Cedarland Development. This is just one of the buildings that will be getting a textile makeover by artist Amanda Browder, who has engaged the community via interactive workshops this summer.
