Polish Happy Hour Celebrates the Polish Constitution @ the Adam Mickiewicz Library & Dramatic Circle on 05/03

The Adam Mickiewicz Library & Dramatic Circle (AMLDC) has been hosting an annual celebration on the anniversary of the adoption of Polish Constitution for years.

The constitution of May 3rd, 1791 (Polish: Konstytucja 3 maja) was adopted by the Great Sejm (parliament) of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, a dual monarchy comprising Poland and Lithuania. It was second modern constitution (following the United States) and the first for a European country.

The event at AMLDC features a reading of the constitution. The Polish Happy Hour will be coming to help celebrate. Polish Happy Hour is a roaming happy hour that stops at various places around Buffalo and Western New York to bring Polish people together to network and celebrate Polish Pride. It seems a like a natural pairing that it would come to the AMLDC on Polish Constitution Day.

There will be free food and admission is free as well. The event runs from 5:00pm to 11:00pm.

The AMLDC is located at 612 Fillmore Avenue in the heart of East Buffalo’s Historic Polonia.
