My home church in the neighborhood is Saint John Kanty. Countless family members belonged to the parish over the years. When my time on Earth over, my funeral will be here. And though fires in the 1940s and 1950s took away the church’s original look, it’s still as beautiful as ever. Saint John Kanty is a wonderful link to the neighborhood’s past and heritage. It will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary in 2017.
