This looks to be a great event and you can’t but to love something new and innovative going on at the Central Terminal. Mark your calendars for the first week in June as the Central Termin8er hits the neighborhood.

During the weekend of June 3-5, the community will come together to celebrate The Terminal, the East Side, the arts, and bikes!
The celebration kicks off with a Friday art party called “Propulsion”, which will feature DJ music, artists, and a fashion show. On Saturday, there will be a bike race around the terminal, with plenty of other Buffalo-centric events and festivities to enjoy, including a farmers’ market, musical arts, a beer garden, food trucks and a vendor village. GObike Buffalo will be teaching Bike Safety, and hosting Mechanics Clinics and a Kids’ Bike Rodeo. The race and party continue on through Sunday, making for an entire weekend of bike and art programming.
The bike races around the terminal are open to all cyclists and all styles of bikes. The course will include a number of different race environments for riders to appreciate, from cyclocross, to road, to mountain bike racing.
Central Termin8er organizers are partnering up with South Fillmore Block Club and the Greater East Side Field of Dreams Block Club to ensure that the event is represented in the best possible light, with active participation from the entire community. Fillmore-Broadway neighborhood organizations are proud to recognize and endorse the race and the associated activities, as a symbol of a united community that seeks the best for all of Buffalo.
These types of bike friendly celebrations have been viewed as catalysts for change in communities throughout US. In recent years, ‘the bike’ has brought many people together in Buffalo, to share in freewheeling rides and related activities. The bike is the ice breaker… the common denominator, that everyone has access to. It gets us out of our cars and into the communities that we all share as a city.
