Photos: Polonia welcomes the new Polish Villa food truck to the scene

Buffalo’s newest food truck is Polish. And like most things Polish in Western New York, the Polish Villa’s food truck has roots in East Buffalo’s Historic Polonia. “My family got into this business back in the 50’s when my grandfather opened the Warsaw Inn on Broadway,” said Edziu Kutas, the proprietor of the restaurant and the driver behind the food truck concept. “I thought it was only appropriate that we went back to where it all started.”

Today the Polish Villa officially rolled out its truck by rolling into the neighborhood and serving up lunch at the Response to Love Center (RTLC) and its clients. “We are so very happy that Mr. Kutas has remembered his roots,” said Sister Johnice, of the RTLC. “And offered to share his talents and services with our Community.”

The food truck will be serving up authentic Polish and Polish American favorites.
