Two men were found dead in a building that caught fire in Buffalo Saturday morning.
The fire started shortly before 5 a.m. on Curtiss Street, which is near Broadway and Memorial on Buffalo’s east side.
Firefighters had said the building was vacant, but they were concerned about people being inside; several people did make it out of the building and are being offered assistance by the Red Cross, according to Garnell Whitfield, Buffalo Fire Commissioner.
Several people had rooms in the building, added Whitfield.
Investigators have not yet determined how the men died; Buffalo Police Homicide detectives are investigating, according to Whitfield.
