Train Show Returns to Central Terminal

After a two year absence, the Central Terminal is once again hosting a train show. There is no place in Western New York more fitting for a such an event.

“This is more than just a train show,” said Mark Lewandowski of the Central Terminal Restoration Corp. “It’s one of Buffalo’s largest celebrations of trains and railroading history. Visitors to the terminal can expect to see everything from highly detailed scale models to family heirloom Christmas trains and archival photos of area railroads.”

If you have never been to this event in the past at the Terminal, take the time to come. Against all odds, the Central Terminal remains. It remains because of the hard work of the Central Terminal Restoration Corporation (CTRC). It wasn’t that long ago that the general public couldn’t even come inside the building. The building now hosts a number of events throughout the year. The CTRC has injected new life into this East Buffalo treasure.

The 2015 Central Terminal Toy Train and “Railroadiana Expo” will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 12th and 13th in the Terminal at 495 Paderewski Drive and Memorial Drive.

There will be a variety of vendors selling trains of all gauges and vintages and other railroad related material.

Admission is $5 for adults, free for children under 12. All proceeds from the show benefit the stabilization and restoration of the Central Terminal.
