I received this via the Fillmore Corridor Neighborhood Coalition (FCNC) today.
The report is at the end of the post.
The potential here is to revitalize the Fillmore Corridor and the Broadway-Fillmore business district.
Take the the time to read the report and don’t hesitate contacting FCNC members with questions or if you want to get involved in helping.
The Fillmore Corridor Neighborhood Coalition (FCNC), through its Fillmore Corridor Main Street Steering Committee, is happy to attach the Community Assessment Report which was completed after a visit by commercial revitalization consultants Teresa Lynch and Matt Wagner. The Community Assessment Visit and the Report were funded through a National Association of Realtors’ Smart Growth Grant provided to the Buffalo-Niagara Association of Realtors and through a local match contributed by Councilman David Franczyk’s office, the MLK CDC, and the FCNC. More than 100 stakeholders in Fillmore Corridor’s two commercial districts – Broadway-Fillmore and Martin Luther King – participated in meetings/ interview during the visit, providing the consultants with their valuable input. You may have been one of those stakeholders and we are very grateful for your participation.
We hope that you enjoy reading the report and would welcome back any comments that you have. Many of the stakeholders who were part of the assessment visit also indicated that would be interested in volunteering to help with the revitalization of the MLK and Broadway-Fillmore commercial districts.
We noted that interest and as the steering committee moves forward with fully forming a board for a Fillmore Corridor Main Street organization and composing membership for the four-committee structure, we will be contacting those of you who participated in the visit sessions to ask if you are interested in becoming a board or committee member.
In the meantime, please contact the individual(s) listed below – who are members of the Fillmore Corridor Main Street Steering Committee – if you have any questions, if you want more information, or if you are ready to jump on board as a volunteer.
