The Buffalo Mass Mob is Coming to Corpus Christi Church on 08/23

The Buffalo Mass Mob will be making its third appearance in East Buffalo’s Historic Polonia on Sunday, August 23, 2015 for Corpus Christi Church’s 11:00am Mass. The Mass Mob previously brought large crowds to Saint Adalbert Basilica in November 2013 and Saint John Kanty Church in March of 2014.

The Mass Mob movement, originated in Buffalo, was started as a way to help draw attention to inner city churches by inviting people to attend Mass at a church the group chooses. Buffalo Mass Mob has garnered national and international press and has been copied by cities all across the United States. The idea is a take on flash mobs. The group simply asks people to show up at church to attend Mass.

Corpus Christi Church, located at 199 Clark Street, will host the group’s twelfth Mass Mob. They hope to pack this neighborhood treasure and introduce this historic to people who may have never seen it before.

Buffalo Mass Mob also holds a “shirtraiser” for the church they will attend.
