Dave Majewski to Receive EPA Environmental Quality Award for Urban Habitat Project

The US Environmental Protection Agency Region 2, and Congressman Brian Higgins’ Office, along with Councilman Dave Franczyk, will be on hand to present the 2014 EPA Environmental Quality Award to Dave Majewski for the efforts and continued sustainability of the Urban Habitat Project (UHP)at the Buffalo Central Terminal. This award will be presented at the Fillmore Corridor Neighborhood Coalition Executive Team meeting on Jan 16th at Mattie’s Restaurant on North Fillmore Ave. The EPA award was also given to Mayor Brown, Marty Doster from the NYDEC and also Buffalo Niagara RiverKeepers. Including the Urban Habitat Project, these are the only 4 recipients in Buffalo.

This is the second award received by Dave and the Urban Habitat Project. The previous award was from the Nature Sanctuary Society of WNY and the award was the Environmental Stewardship Award of 2013. Only one of these Nature Sanctuary Society awards is presented annually.
