Torn Space Theater’s Prom of the Dead has become one of the coolest Halloween season events in Buffalo. It also helps raise funds for theater that calls the Adam Mickiewicz Library and Dramatic Circle home.

From Facebook:

Partynauts! Space Cadets! Lovers of the failed modern world! Step back to the future with Torn Space Theater as we take this year’s Prom of the Dead to the outer reaches of the cosmos. Become your alien alter-ego, spread fear across the galaxy as the undead space villain, chic-it-up as the Barbarella of the B-Lo…do what ever the hell you want, but dress the f’ up. We’ve got it covered: DJs, costume contest, live sets, projections, lasers, bubbles, baubles…and, as always, free drinks 9-10 pm.

ENTERTAINMENT:
This year we’ve got DJ Marcos Udagawa, music from UVB-76, Rev. Johnny Drama and Handsome Dan, Dr. Know, PROJEX, Frankie NP, and others. Also, free prom portraits and our Prom of the Dead King and Queen Costume Contest. As always we kick off with an open bar from 9-10pm.

VIP EXPERIENCE:
And for the Very Important People, This year’s VIP Experience offers an atmosphere of cool with a sophisticated lounge from Buffalo’s own Bureau boys. Featuring complimentary champagne, beer, wine, and signature cocktails served by our inflight rollerskating crew. All orbited by a Bowie set by Torn Space soundscapist, Todd Lesmeister. VIP attendees will be admitted into the main balllroom one hour in advance of general admission — allowing our special guests a first look at our spaced-out utopia venue as well as early access to our always spectacular free prom photos. VIP tickets can be purchased for $50 each, or by contacting Katie Mallinson at development.tornspacetheater@gmail.com.

TICKETS AND DETAILS:
Tickets are $20 General / $50 VIP / $25 Door. Tickets also available at Rust Belt Books at 202 Allen St, Talking Leaves at 951 Elmwood Ave and 3158 Main St, Terrapin Station at 1172 Hertel Ave, Record Theatre, and any of Torn Space’s performances.
