This is what I wrote about Painting for Preservation a couple of years ago.
When I first starting reading about Painting for Preservation earlier in the year, I loved the whole idea and concept.
Art is a great way to tell the story of many things and preservation is one of them.
Back in 2011, Painting for Preservation staged a highly successful Art-In at Saint Adalbert Basilica. This Saturday, the group is coming back to the neighborhood and staging an “Art-In” at Saint Ann’s. The concept is to draw attention to an architecturally significant building or area through the event.
The Saint Ann’s Art-In starts at 9:30am and lasts until 1:00pm. All art styles/media welcome, all skill levels welcome and the community is invited to participate. It is also a great way to show your support for Saint Ann’s.
Saint Ann’s is located at Broadway and Emslie.
