SAINT JOHN KANTY PLANNING FIRST ALL YEAR SCHOOL REUNION

MASS AND RECEPTION TO BE HELD IN NOVEMBER

Buffalo, New York – On Saturday, November 24, 2012, Saint John Kanty Church will hold its first all year reunion for alumni of its former school.

Saint John Kanty School was open from 1894 until 1992.  Organizers of the event estimate more than 12000 students passed through the doors of the school and want to provide an opportunity for alumni to come together for this first ever all year reunion to celebrate its history.

A Mass and reception are being planned.  Right now, organizers are seeking contact information for former students, teachers, nuns, priests and staff.  They are requesting that people go to Saint John Kanty’s website, http://stjohnkantychurchbuffalo.wordpress.com, to fill out an online registration form or by calling (716) 562-6046 to share their information.

Historic Saint John Kanty Church was established in 1892 as Buffalo’s Polish immigrant community expanded on Buffalo’s East side in the neighborhoods off Broadway toward Bailey Avenue.  The church continues to serve the East side and its parish community 120 years later.
