REVIVE, REBUILD, RESTORE. FILLMORE DISTRICT UNITES UNDER COMMON GOALS
BUFFALO, N.Y. – Common Council President & Fillmore District Common Council Member Dave Franczyk will host a “Meet the New Fillmore District” rally on Thursday, August 18th at 2:30pm 3:30pm at Buffalo River Fest Park in the Old First Ward.
Under the revised City of Buffalo reapportionment plan, the Fillmore District is now comprised of some of the most storied neighborhoods in Buffalo including the West Village, Allentown, Larkin/Hydraulics, Little Hollywood, Seneca-Babcock, Genesee-Moselle, Polonia, The Valley, and the Old First Ward.
“The neighborhoods and their residents may be diverse, but we are all working on the same issues that impact families, businesses and property,” said Franczyk. “The goals for the Fillmore District are simple. To protect and improve quality of life, to allow residents to retain and restore the historic fabric of each community, and for responsible and ethical government to provide the best services at the lowest cost to the taxpayer.”
A Fillmore District native, Council President and Council member David A. Franczyk has served the Fillmore District since 1986. In his present tenure in the Common Council, he serves as the President, appoints all Council Committees and serves as head of the department of the Common Council.
“Rally”
Looks like a campaign stop for Franczyk.
If that doesn’t side like campaign mambo jumbo, I don’t what else does. I wonder what taxpayer resources are being expended to hold this rally?
People send stuff, I post. David is obviously a part of B-F…so I posted the press release.
BFA has made it a policy not to take sides in elections and not filter things that come our way. But we also do let people comment to offer their opinions and commentary.
ff course these events are all about politics. but all politicians use tactics like this during elections.
