(By Elizabeth Carey – BBB) It’s almost Easter. You know what that means. It’s time to make the annual trip to the Broadway Market. For anyone who has never experienced the market, you are missing a piece of Buffalo history. This year would be the perfect time to check it out because the market looks better than it has in years.

The Broadway Market has a new executive director, Thomas A. Kerr, and many new vendors. New lighting makes it look brighter, a new floor plan makes it roomier and the new vendors will make your shopping trip complete. This year, you can sample wine from various wineries and even purchase it to take home for Easter dinner. Other newcomers include a candy apple maker, Niagara popcorn with a unique popcorn style cake and new restaurant offerings.

What you won’t find is the former “flea market” feel. The market started to head in that direction in recent years until new management steered it along a different path. However, you can still find classic polish pottery, Dyngus Day attire and children’s’ favorites, polish crowns and yo-yos.
