The Buffalo Common Council voted Tuesday to adopt a bill sponsored by Fillmore District representative and Common Council President David Franczyk which calls for reorganization of the Broadway Market. The Council also supports Franczyk’s push for creation of a special task force to examine the Market and develop new strategies for it.
The bill calls for reorganization and a possible overhaul of market management when its current lease expires. It emphasized the city’s strong support for the Market, but called for the need for changes to attract more vendors and shoppers.
