Amy Smardz from the Adam Mickiewicz Library will be joining Father Anzelm of Corpus Christi and Sandy Starks in presenting “Wigilia” December 8 and 15 at the Market.

Taste of Home Magazine’s Western New York Field Editor and Slow Food Buffalo member Sandy Starks will present the tasting. Amy Smardz, Vice President of the Adam Mickiewicz Library and Dramatic Circle (“Mickey’s”) and an authority on Polish traditions and history will discuss the many different ways Polish families celebrate this festive day. Prepaid reservations are required and the price of $11 per person includes samples of a selection of Wigilia foods, including mushroom soup, pierogi, seafood, Holiday beets and yogurt, Polish delicacies and the traditional Christmas wafers (oplatek). A recipe for Krupnik, a Polish honey liqueur will also be offered.
