The Rededication of St. Stanislaus’ Pipe Organ

Last night’s pipe organ rededication at St. Stan’s was wonderful…it was more than fitting that a packed church got to experience one of America’s great organists Frederick Swann as he helped usher in a new era at the church. Swan played on the organ some years ago right after Bishop Grosz became Pastor…at that time the organ was in need of repair and he told the Bishop as much…this is why he was asked to come back and perform at the rededication celebration.

Everything about the evening was electric. After the performance, people had the opportunity to tour the choir loft and check the organ out for themselves.

If you haven’t been to St. Stan’s in awhile, you need to go…the entire church complex looks amazing. Bishop Grosz and the dedicated parishioners at the church have ensured that their piece of Broadway-Fillmore will remain alive for generations to come.
