Michele, Chris and I were at the Broadway Fillmore housing opportunities open house last night to support the great work being done for the neighborhood by Marlies, Leslie and all the great folks at the Matt Urban Center. We got a nice note from Leslie this morning, to let us know that the evening was a success!:

Thanks for your support yesterday.We had about 60 attendees and 34 requests for service -which is great!
34 households filled out Housing Needs Assessments that indicated that they were interested in building or buying a rehabbed home. Others took some of the surveys home for their non-local families to fill out since they expect them to be moving here soon. The whole time that I have worked here I haven’t seen as much interest in the neighborhood as I saw last night.
